Before joining the faculty, Don was the Education Coordinator for SEIU Local 1984 in his home state of New Hampshire. Previously, he worked for the hotel workers' union UNITE HERE and the United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers (UE). He has also taught collective bargaining and labor studies at the University of New Hampshire and Indiana University. He has extensive experience in mobilization, leadership development, union communications/media, and collective bargaining, especially in the public sector. His teaching interests include the above as well as contract campaign planning, steward training, local union revitalization, labor history, and common sense economics.
