With more than 135,000 square feet of space on the shores of Lake Mendota, Pyle Center is more than your typical conference center – it’s where the Wisconsin Idea comes to life. Everything from multimedia presentations and multi-day conferences to advanced distance education systems and active learning labs happen here. We offer unparalleled support from professional event planners to in-house catering, registration and technology specialists who ensure a smooth event.
The Pyle Center is a campus conference center located at 702 Langdon Street in downtown Madison. A majority of our classes and conferences are held at the Pyle Center. Commuter parking is nearby in a City of Madison ramp on Lake Street.
Steps from the shopping, dining and vibrant nightlife of downtown Madison, Lowell Center’s comfortable guest rooms and modern amenities promise a pleasurable getaway.
Participants are responsible for arranging their own lodging. We encourage you to call the Lowell Center soon after registering for your class to ensure a hotel room for your stay in Madison, WI.

Blending the quiet comfort of home with modern conference spaces for up to 400 attendees, Lowell Center features fully equipped meeting rooms as well as 137 well-appointed guest rooms, the area’s largest indoor pool with sauna, an updated fitness center.
The Lowell Center, is located at 610 Langdon Street in downtown Madison, offers guest rooms to conference participants. A block of guest rooms has been reserved for your class. If you reserve a room at the Lowell Center, breakfast is included. Complimentary parking 3 blocks off site is also included with your room. For evening dinner, you can explore the many restaurants on nearby State Street.
Lodging Rates: Lowell Center Guest Room Rates
One person occupancy: $94 per night
Two person occupancy: $106 per night
One person occupancy: $119 per night
Two person occupancy:$131 per night
The lodging room block will be released four weeks before the class start date. We encourage you to call the Lowell Center soon after registering for your class to ensure a hotel room for your stay in Madison, WI.

Fee and Payment Information
Please DO NOT INCLUDE lodging fees in your payments to the School for Workers.
School for Workers fees include tuition, instructional materials, lunches and breaks. Participants are responsible for arranging their own lodging. For information go to Lodging Reservations.
To assure participation in the course, registration should be received by the deadline.

PAYMENT IS DUE 14 days before the class start date.
Participants will receive confirmation information approximately two weeks prior to the course.
For a full refund, cancellation notification must be 14 days or more prior to the program start date. If notification is less than 14 days, the cancellation fee will be at a minimum $100.00. The School for Workers reserves the right to cancel programs when enrollment criteria are not met or when conditions beyond our control intervene. If the School for Workers cancels a class, class fees are refunded in full, but additional costs incurred are the responsibility of the registrants.
